Pigmalió & Galatea

King Pigmalion seeked for years a wife who fulfiled the ideal of a perfect woman. The search turned out to be fruitless, then he decided not to get married, and instead to devote the whole time and the love he felt inside to the creation of his ideal. King Pigmalion sculpted a statue that accomplished all his wishes and he liked so much that he wanted it to became a real being. Afrodita, goddess of love, made real his dream, and Galatea was the name he gave to her.
